Community Event Program
🚍 Getting There: Wentworth locals can catch the free shuttle bus to and from Darling Street (Council office/Grand Resort entry area) and Wentworth Aerodrome. The shuttle starts at 10:00 AM from Darling Street and will run throughout the day. After the event, the shuttle will return to town, so you can keep the day going!
🕙 10:30 AM – Gates Open
- Explore the aerodrome and get up close with a range of incredible aircraft
🕚 11:00 AM – First Air Display Starts
- Kick off the day with thrilling aerobatic performances from top aviation teams.
🕛 12:00 PM – First Air Display Ends, and other activities continue
- Meet the air display pilots!!!!!
- Visit the Kids’ Zone and enjoy the different free activities including face painting, a scavenger hunt, and hands-on activities.
- Meet “Tori,” the aircraft built by teenagers from across Australia. Learn about its journey and take home a special aviation keepsake.
- Take to the skies! Book a joy flight in a Tiger Moth, Cessna 172, or Robinson R44 helicopter and experience the thrill of flying.
🕑 2:00 PM – Second Air Display Starts
- Another round of spectacular aerial performances featuring skilled aerobatic pilots.
🕝 3:00 PM – Second Air Display Ends and other activities continue
- Meet the air display pilots!!!!
- Chat with Exhibitors and check our their latest offerings
- See the final touches on the live aircraft artwork painted by local artist Terry (Moose) McGowan.
- Use the flight simulator in the Kids’ Zone – a challenge for budding pilots.
- See the static displays including vintage aircraft and aircraft self built by pilots
- Enjoy the food truck treats in the sun
- Browse the everything-wheels displays
🕞 3:45 PM – Event Wrap-Up & Winners’ Announcements
- Enjoy the final moments of the event, check out the aircraft displays, and grab a bite from the food vendors.
🕓 4:00 PM – Gates Close
