Getting to AusFly
Flying into Wentworth, NSW
Pilots planning to fly into Wentworth for AusFly 2025 should regularly check our website for any updates or revisions within 48 hours of their planned arrival. The AUSFLY Pilot Arrival, Parking, and Departure Guidance will be available here, SOON. All pilots are encouraged to carefully review the recommended procedures and be prepared to communicate their parking requirements on “Ground Frequency” upon arrival.
Please note that the Wentworth Shire has confirmed that all movement fees will be waived during the AusFly event, from 7 am (local time) on Thursday, 21st March, to 5 pm (local time) on Sunday, 24th March.
Flying into Mildura, VIC
For pilots flying into Mildura Airport, located 34 km away, it’s important to note that while this airport offers more commercial services and facilities, it requires additional ground transport to reach Wentworth. Pilots choosing this option will need to arrange their own transport or utilize the limited event shuttle buses, subject to demand.
Accommodation and Transport
We strongly encourage participants to stay in Wentworth, which offers a closer connection to the event and a more convenient experience. Limited shuttle buses will be made available from Mildura Airport to Wentworth, but these services will depend on demand, and further details will be provided soon.
Driving to Wentworth
For those driving, Wentworth is located in the far southwest of New South Wales, at the confluence of the Darling and Murray Rivers. The town is a 12-hour drive from Sydney and a 6-hour drive from Melbourne. Parking is available within the airport precinct.
Commercial Flights
If you prefer to fly commercially, the nearest airport is Mildura, with flights arriving from Sydney, Melbourne, and other parts of Australia. From there, transport to Wentworth will be necessary, and as mentioned, limited shuttle services will be provided based on demand.
